TikTok Introduces In-App Hotel and Attraction Bookings with "TikTok GO" for US Users

TikTok now lets US users book hotels and attractions in-app with ‘TikTok GO’

TikTok is moving into travel commerce, announcing a new in-app booking feature that lets users in the US reserve hotels, attractions and tours directly on the app.

The feature, called TikTok GO , is being rolled out through TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC , the US entity created as part of the company’s restructuring under American ownership.

It also marks TikTok’s most direct push into the travel industry.

The feature works by surfacing lodging and activity listings across the ways users already encounter content through videos, search results, and location pages. When a user finds something they want to book, they can check availability and complete a reservation within the app.

TikTok has partnered with Booking.com , Expedia , Viator , Tiqets , Trip.com , and GetYourGuide to launch TikTok GO. GetYourGuide alone says it has more than 200,000 experiences across 12,000 destinations available through the integration.

TikTok’s new venture follows its entry into e-commerce with TikTok Shop. The feature rolled out in the US in 2023 following earlier launches in Southeast Asia and the UK in 2021.

> “Every day on TikTok, millions of people discover where to eat, where to stay, and what to do next. TikTok GO connects that moment of inspiration directly to the businesses behind it, and that’s good for creators, good for local businesses, and good for communities.” Adam Presser, TikTok

Adam Presser , CEO of TikTok USDS Joint Venture, said: “Every day on TikTok, millions of people discover where to eat, where to stay, and what to do next. TikTok GO connects that moment of inspiration directly to the businesses behind it, and that’s good for creators, good for local businesses, and good for communities.”

> “By bringing Booking.com directly into the TikTok journey, travellers can move from discovering a dream accommodation in a video to securing their stay in just a few taps — making it easier than ever to turn inspiration into unforgettable experiences.” Mark van der Linden , Booking.com

Mark van der Linden , VP Partnerships, Booking.com , added: “We’re excited to collaborate with TikTok to turn those ‘I wish I were there’ moments into real stays with TikTok GO. By bringing Booking.com directly into the TikTok journey, travellers can move from discovering a dream accommodation in a video to securing their stay in just a few taps — making it easier than ever to turn inspiration into unforgettable experiences.”

Johannes Reck , Co-Founder & CEO, GetYourGuide, said: “Our partnership with TikTok marks a major shift in how travel experiences are booked through TikTok GO – enabling travelers to move directly from discovery to a seamless booking. Whether it’s visiting the Vatican or checking out a cooking class in Tokyo, we’re collapsing the time between inspiration and action.”

Reck added: “With over 200,000 experiences across 12,000 destinations, GetYourGuide is well-positioned to power that moment at scale, giving our operators – many of them small, local businesses – direct access to a massive, travel-hungry audience. Experiences have become the primary reason people travel, not an afterthought. With TikTok GO, we’re at the center of that transformation, right at the moment of inspiration.”

TikTok also hinted at more ways to “connect people with the places and businesses they love.”

The travel integration marks TikTok’s latest offering as it seeks to become a “super app,” or an all-in-one mobile app that offers a comprehensive ecosystem bundling multiple services like messaging, social networking, e-commerce and more.

Recent integrations include personalized video platform Cameo , allowing creators in the US to offer personalized video messages directly within the TikTok app; Apple Music , to allow subscribers to play full-length tracks they discover on TikTok without leaving the app; and TikTok’s ‘Add to Music App’ feature that lets users save tracks or albums they discover via TikTok on music streaming services like Amazon Music , Apple Music , and Spotify , as well as Anghami , SoundCloud , Deezer , Melon , and TIDAL .

Just weeks ago, TikTok said its ‘Add to Music App’ feature has been used to save over 6 billion tracks to music streaming services over the past 12 months.
