Pete Davidson Rips Kanye West During Kevin Hart Netflix Special

Kanye West  was sitting in the audience at  The Roast Of  Kevin Hart   while  Pete Davidson directed jokes at him – watch below.

The event aired live on  Netflix on Sunday night (May 10) from The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, hosted by comedian Shane Gillis. Among those on hand to roast Hart included Dwayne Johnson , Regina Hall, Katt Williams and Chelsea Handler.

Also on stage was Pete Davidson, who used a couple of lines to take aim at Kanye. Addressing fellow comic Tony Hinchcliffe, Davidson said, “Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings. I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.”

As later revealed by  TMZ , Kanye was actually in attendance at the Kia Forum, sitting among the crowd and described as “stone-faced” and “expressionless” while Davidson delivered the jokes about him. He was noted as being more enthusiastic when  One Battle After Another   star and former Ye collaborator  Teyana Taylor  took to the stage.

Davidson began dating Kim Kardashian after her split from Ye, and in 2022, the rapper began a beef with him.  He depicted Davidson in a claymation caricature in his video for ‘Eazy’, with Ye kidnapping and burying him alive before decapitating him .

Several high-profile figures  came to Davidson’s defence following that video, including James Gunn and Kaley Cuoco , and the comedian finally rebuffed Ye, saying “I’m not gonna let you treat us like this anymore and I’m done being quiet”. He shared a back-and-forth text conversation with Kanye, culminating in him replying to the question of where he was by saying, “in bed with your wife” .

The first live Netflix roast was of NFL legend Tom Brady in 2024, while it recently emerged that one of their main targets for the 2026 edition was Paul McCartney . Another candidate was reportedly Will Smith .

Elsewhere,  Kanye lost a copyright infringement trial this week  over the unauthorised use of a sample on an early version of his song ‘Hurricane’. A jury found him personally liable to pay over £130,000.

Ye released new album ’ Bully ’ in March and has attempted to launch a world tour, but many shows have been cancelled – in  the UK ,  Switzerland ,  Poland  and  France  – due to  the rapper’s past antisemitic remarks .
