Pooh Shiesty Trial for Gucci Mane Kidnapping Case Pushed to 2027
Pooh Shiesty's trial date, set for July, has been postponed until 2027 to allow attorneys more time for preparation in the Gucci Mane kidnapping case.

The trial of Pooh Shiesty on charges of kidnapping Gucci Mane has been pushed to next year. Originally set to begin this July, the trial is now set for February 22nd, 2027.
Pooh Shiesty and eight other suspects face charges after a January incident in which they’re accused of holding Gucci Mane and two other industry executives at gunpoint in a Dallas studio. Prosecutors allege they refused to allow the others to leave until Gucci signed a contract releasing Pooh from his 1017 Records deal. Valuable jewelry, watches, and money were also stolen.
While some of the defendants, including Shiesty’s father, Rodney “Big30” Wright Jr., have been released on bail, Shiesty remains in custody. A judge denied his bail request due to FBI agent testimony, including social media posts allegedly showing the stolen jewelry, and the fact that Shiesty was supposed to be on house arrest following his release from prison last October after serving time for shooting a man in the ass . That case, by the way, was also aided by social media posts .
