Prince ’s legendary “Vault” is so filled with unreleased recordings that it can be difficult to know where to begin — a deluxe boxed set focused just on his classic 1987 “Sign O’ the Times” album added up to eight CDs, and it didn’t even contain half of that album’s outtakes.

The late artist’s estate has taken a different approach with a new 10-song collection called “Timeless,” which features 10 previously unreleased tracks from across his entire career — it spans from 1977 through the year of his death, 2016 — and will be released via the estate’s partnership with Sony’s Legacy Recordings, arriving August 28, 2026.
