‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ Slated for Sphere Screenings Beginning in 2027

Beloved campy cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” will be screened at Las Vegas’ Sphere starting in 2027.

Known for its late-night showings with extensive audience participation, the film remains popular more than 50 years after its release. Sphere Studios will “enhance the original beloved” movie, according to a press release.

“Through Sphere Studios, we are building a slate of original experiences that push the boundaries of technology and storytelling for this new medium, while always keeping the audience at the center of the experience. Since ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ premiered in 1975, it redefined audience participation and became a cultural phenomenon. With Sphere, we have the opportunity to take that spirit of immersion to an entirely new level,” Jim Dolan, executive chairman and CEO of Sphere Entertainment, said.

“RHPS” will be part of the Sphere Experiences vertical, which includes Darren Aronofsky’s “Postcard from Earth” and the “Wizard of Oz.” The latter has proven to a wildly successful offering at Sphere, with the company announcing Tuesday it’s sold more than 3 million tickets since opening in August 2025, generating more than $400 million in revenue.
