EXIT And P+US Debut Starlight Festival At The Pyramids

EXIT, as part of its recently announced world tour , has partnered with P+US, the live events business of Emirati-Lebanese entertainment and hospitality company Venture Lifestyle, to launch Starlight Festival at the Great Pyramids of Giza Oct. 9-10.

The lineup is led by Adriatique, Charlotte de Witte, Michael Bibi, Enrico Sangiuliano, Pete Tong, Vintage Culture, WhoMadeWho and more.

“Set against the desert sands beside one of the world’s most significant symbols of ancient civilisation, Starlight will unite the global electronic music community within a setting shaped by thousands of years of history, while bringing together one of the strongest electronic lineups the region has seen to date,” according to the press announcement.

Oct. 8 and 11, respectively, will host opening and closing events across selected locations throughout Cairo. At the main festival, across more than five festival stages and zones, Starlight will also feature one of the world’s most advanced VR experiences, originally unveiled at Expo Dubai.

As with other events held in the area, Starlight will not be staged directly at the pyramids, which will serve as a monumental backdrop from a specially designated location developed in accordance with the site’s historical importance and protected status.

Dušan Kovačević, founder and CEO of EXIT Festival, said, “It is a great honour to be invited to bring the premium festival concept near one of the grandest monuments in human history. EXIT has always been known for combining world-class entertainment with a strong social mission, which in this case will be dedicated to celebrating Egypt’s extraordinary cultural heritage to a global audience. We are especially pleased to have Venture Lifestyle as our partner on this project, given their reputation for delivering exceptional events in the region.”

Tickets are on sale, starting at €199 ($232) for a standing ticket, with VIP options available, too.

Regional Champion Bear Stone Returns

Bear Stone Festival will once again champion regional independent music when it returns to Slunj, Croatia, July 2-5.

While Bear Stone has earned an international reputation for presenting artists from across the global psych, stoner and alternative spectrum — with Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Elder, My Sleeping Karma and Altın Gün among this year’s headliners — the festival has always remained deeply rooted in its local context.

This year’s collaboration with Croatian creative collective Purpurne Bašte, who will bring artists Čuvarkuća, Vodenkonj, Layka and Badel-Bager to Bear Stone, reflects that ethos, shining a light on a creative ecosystem that has developed organically in eastern Croatia, away from the country’s principal cultural centres.

Founded in Osijek by designer and musician Hrvoje Dešić, Purpurne Bašte (“Purple Gardens”) is an independent label and creative collective that playfully describes itself as a home for čudne biljke (“strange plants”), or artists and ideas that flourish outside the mainstream.

Part record label, part design studio and part cultural platform, Purpurne Bašte treats music, visual identity and community-building as interconnected elements of a broader artistic practice. In doing so, it reflects a wider European tradition of artist-led initiatives that function less like conventional labels and more like self-sustaining cultural ecosystems.

Tickets for Bear Stone Festival 2026 are on sale, with single-day tickets starting at €67 ($78) plus fees, standard festival tickets at €104 ($121) plus fees, and €20 ($23) for a camping add-on.

In four short years, Syd For Solen has built a reputation for pioneering music visionaries, some of the most talked about new artists of the moment, and the hottest names on the Danish music scene, topped off by a selection of international A-listers.

Food is considered an essential part of the overall festival experience rather than something to occupy the time between performances, and this year’s expanded site introduces new bars, cafés, and dining experiences, offering everything from sweet treats and comfort food to plant-based favourites and elevated festival dining.

The festival grounds in Copenhagen’s Valbyparken has been expanded, and will feature enlarged versions of all three stages, creating more space for audiences, because the festival’s capacity of 25,000 won’t change.

Everywhere At Once Lineup Unveiled

Fatboy Slim, Glenn Tilbrook, Lucy Spraggan, Gene, D Double E, P Money and Westside Cowboy join Becky Hill, Tinie Tempah, Rizzle Kicks, The Lathums, Master Peace, Toddla T, The Divine Comedy, Jodie Harsh and Brooke Combe have all joined the lineup for Everywhere At Once, a grassroots venues festival taking place across the UK’s grassroots music venues on the weekend that would have been Glastonbury’s, if it didn’t take a fallow year in 2026.

Between June 26 and 28, more than 2,000 artists will perform across more than 400 grassroots venues nationwide, spanning indie, dance, pop, rock, grime, electronic, jazz, folk, punk, soul and more, organized by the UK’s Music Venue Trust and The National Lottery.

Glenn Tilbrook will be performing on the Theatreship in East London’s Canary Wharf, Lucy Spraggan at The Sub Rooms in Stroud, Gene will be playing shows in Southampton, Newport and Lancaster, D Double E at The Brickworks in Nottingham, P Money at Suki10c in Birmingham, and Westside Cowboy are playing a hometown show at Manchester’s Low Four.

Details of Fat Boy Slim’s show, and how to get tickets, will be announced in the run-up to the festival weekend.

The iconic DJ commented, “I’ve been lucky enough to play huge stages all over the world, but grassroots venues are where it all started for me and where music scenes really begin, where artists learn their craft, where communities form, and where people come together purely for the love of it. Without grassroots venues, independent promoters and local crowds taking a chance on something new, none of this exists.

“These spaces are vital for culture and for local communities, so if there’s anything I can do to help shine a light on them and help keep that spirit alive, I’m more than happy to be involved. And if you care about music, go out and support your local venues, buy a ticket, discover somebody new, and be part of keeping those scenes alive.”
