State Farm Arena Announces Summer Kickoff ATL Featuring Shakira Concerts & Golden Ticket Contest

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, State Farm Arena in Atlanta has officially unveiled the programming for its summer-long celebration of music and culture in the heart of downtown Atlanta, with multiple major concerts and a Golden Ticket contest marking the occasion.

Concerts taking place as part of the festivities between the June 11 and July 19 tournament include 5 Seconds of Summer, Alex Warren, Shakira (two nights), Joji, and two nights of Tame Impala.

Along with co-headlining the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Shakira continues her red-hot touring with two shows at State Farm Arena as part of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.” It comes as her latest release, “Dai Dai,” is the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 song, also featuring afrobeat star Burna Boy and now streaming on all platforms.

The events come as next-door neighbor Mercedes-Benz Stadium is primed to host eight matches as part of the FIFA World Cup. Watch parties taking place in the city include performances by Davido, CeeLo Green, and more. The World Cup, a first for the city, is a unique opportunity to showcase entertainment at the 18,000-capacity home of the Atlanta Hawks.

“Hundreds of thousand additional people will be coming in during that 32 days, and music is a universal language, so we knew that when people are coming in to see their team, there’s other things they’ll be looking to do while they’re here,” said Trey Feazell, Hawks and State Farm Arena’s Executive Vice President of Arena Programming. “International artists are perfect, anything people around the world are interested in seeing, and we feel very confident that we have something for pretty much anyone.” Feazell adds that none of the concerts are taking place on the same day as the World Cup matches, and although the Hawks didn’t quite make it to the NBA Championships, any shows booked during that time frame has contingency plans in case of a playoff game taking place.

Other shows taking place at the arena before or after the official ATL Summer Kickoff include three nights of Ariana Grande, which Feazell says are sold out, Megan Moroney, A$AAP Rockey, J. Cole, Lionel RIchie and Earth, Wind & Fire.

The arena is also introducing a “Golden Ticket” limited-time sweepstakes promotion, where one lucky person will receive a pair of tickets to each artist coming to the arena this summer from June 9 through July 24.

Feazell says the World Cup excitement is ramping up quickly in Atlanta.

“It’s building as we get closer and I think it’s still unknown how many people will be coming from outside of Atlanta, outside of the country, but now’s the time where we’re getting people really interested in kind of what’s going on,” says Feazell. “I feel really good about every one of these shows doing really well.”
