Sweeping Promises Reveal New Album & Tour Dates, Release "Shooting Shadows"

Punk duo Sweeping Promises have announced their third album, You Say I Romanticize , which will be out August 14 via Sub Pop. Guitarist Caufield Schnug and bassist/vocalist Lira Mondal recorded the album mostly live in their Kansas City studio, using touring drummer Spenser Gralla for the first time on a record.

You can really feel the live spark on first single and opening track “Shooting Shadows” which has Mondal pushing the limits of her voice to match the ragged energy of the song. It’s a ripper and you can listen below.

Sweeping Promises will be on tour this fall, and have two NYC shows:  Night Club 101 on November 10 , and  Baby’s All Right on November 11 . All dates are listed below.
