Thunderstorm Halts Bonnaroo Sunday for Three Hours, Reshuffles Schedule

Bonnaroo dodged much of the worst weatherwise this weekend on The Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, but a thunderstorm did force a three-hour shutdown and a schedule shakeup Sunday.

A line of storms pushed across the festival grounds early Sunday afternoon, prompting officials to evacuate Centeroo around 2 p.m.. Music resumed at 5:30 p.m.

Most acts had their set times pushed by an hour but a handful — Aly & AJ, Trombone Shorty, Spacey Jane, Hemlock Springs, Blondshell and A Hundred Drums — were cut,

It’s the second straight year Aly & AJ saw their set nixed at Bonnaroo.

Though a brief frog-strangler turned the grounds muddy Friday, sunny skies persisted much of the weekend.

Bonnaroo has been cancelled outright three times in the last six years: once for COVID and twice for severe weather.
