Sony’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse gets its first TV spin-off in Spider-Noir .

Created by Oren Uziel, the noir superhero series follows a down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is grappling with his past life as the city’s only superhero in the aftermath of a personal tragedy.

Nicolas Cage reprises the lead role of Ben Reilly, alongside Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston and Brendan Gleeson.

All eight episodes of Spider-Noir , which can be viewed in black and white or colour, were released May 27, 2026 on Amazon Prime Video.

Has Spider-Noir been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing (May 28), Amazon has not officially announced whether Spider-Noir will return for a second season. A decision will likely be made in the coming weeks, once the viewing figures start rolling in.

What have the creators said about a potential season 2?

The show’s executive producers, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, have said they “would be happy to do more” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter . “We are television producers,” Lord said. “We’re not gonna say no.”

Additionally, showrunner Oren Uziel explained how the show can be easily extended to a second season. “One of the magical things about any private detective story is, if you want another story, all it takes is another client to knock on that door, and then comes a new set of cases, a new set of problems and a new adventure to go on,” Uziel said. “So [it’s] conceived to be as many seasons as we want to go.”
