Agalloch to Play First NYC, Boston, and Chicago Shows in 12 Years
Agalloch announces their first performances in New York City, Boston, and Chicago in over a decade. Frontman John Haughm, also of Pillorian, will open each show with a solo set.

Since reuniting in 2023 , Portland atmospheric black/folk/post metal greats Agalloch have played around 20 select shows and festivals, and in early June they’re playing two sets at Milwaukee Metalfest (a retrospective set and an Ashes Against the Grain set) before playing a set at Montana fest Fire in the Mountains in July.
They’ve now finally announced their first NYC, Boston & Chicago shows in 12 years, happening on August 12 at Thalia Hall in Chicago; August 14 at the Sinclair in Cambridge, MA; and August 15 at Brooklyn Steel in NYC. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 29 at 10 AM local, with an artist presale starting Thursday, May 28 at 10 AM local.
Frontman John Haughm (who also fronted Pillorian in the years after Agalloch broke up) is doing solo sets to open each show. NYC black metal greats Yellow Eyes , who made one of our favorite albums of 2025 , play second at both East Coast shows, and then NYC also gets a set by NYC black metal legends Profanatica before Agalloch. Chicago doom band Barren Heir also open the Chicago show.
