Aja Monet Announces “The Color of Rain” Tour, Including Carnegie Hall Appearance

Blues/jazz poet aja monet releases her sophomore album, the color of rain , on May 22 via drink sum wtr. It’s the follow-up to 2023’s when the poems do what they do , and she co-produced it with Justin Brown and Meshell Ndegeocello . It also features contributions from Burniss Travis, Josh Johnson, Daniel Minseris, Jermaine Paul, Ambrose Akinmusire, Nico Segal, Mick Jenkins, Georgia Anne Muldrow , and Vic Mensa , and you can see the cover art and tracklist, and hear “Melting Clocks,” “Hollyweird,” and “Elsewhere” below.

You can catch monet on tour starting next week at NYC’s Carnegie Hall on May 20 . It’s her debut performance at the iconic venue, and she’ll be joined by Brian Hargrove on keyboards, Micah Aléc Collier on bass, Myles Martin on drums, and guest artists to be announced. Tickets are on sale.
