BMAC Live Offers Aspiring Professionals Backstage Access on Usher & Chris Brown Tour
BMAC Live is offering aspiring music industry professionals an immersive, behind-the-scenes learning experience on select stops of "The R&B Tour," co-headlined by Usher and Chris Brown.

Thanks to a special touring edition of BMAC Live, aspiring music industry professionals will get the chance to go behind the scenes and take part in an immersive learning experience on select stops of “The R&B Tour,” co-headlined by Chris Brown and Usher. The opportunity was announced by The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC), in partnership with Live Nation’s School of Live, with applications open now.
This week’s announcement notes that “selected participants will gain a firsthand look at the people, planning, and execution behind a major stadium tour while learning directly from the professionals who bring the live experience to audiences across the country. Participants will be exposed to venue operations, production, touring logistics, marketing, artist services, and other key functions that power large-scale live entertainment events.”
“One of the most impactful ways to learn about this industry is to see it in action,” Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, BMAC Co-founder, President & CEO, said in a statement. “BMAC Live gives participants a unique opportunity to go beyond the stage and experience the collaboration, expertise, and preparation required to produce a stadium tour of this scale. Having the opportunity to learn through the lens of two of the most important and influential artists of our generation, Chris Brown and Usher, makes this experience even more meaningful. Their artistry, entrepreneurship, and cultural impact have helped shape the global music landscape. We are excited to continue partnering with Live Nation to create an experience that inspires curiosity and a deeper understanding of the live entertainment business while opening doors for the next generation of industry leaders.”
The BMAC Live immersive learning experience will give approximately five to 10 participants exposure to live event production and stadium tour operations, access to soundcheck and production activities, direct interaction with tour staff across multiple departments, real-time learning about how large-scale live events are planned and executed and admission to the concert following the educational experience.
The markets on the “The R&B Tour” that are participating include Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, New York City, Orlando, the Bay Area, St. Louis, Tampa, and Washington, D.C.
After applying for the special edition of BMAC Live, participants will be selected through an interview process. To learn more and apply, visit https://www.bmacoalition.org/bmaclivenation
