Fiddlehead Unveil New EP ‘Baby I’ll Change,’ Release Title Track

Fiddlehead have announced their first new release since their great 2023 album Death is Nothing To Us . Their new three-song EP Baby I’ll Change is due out this Friday (June 26) via Run for Cover. They worked on it with producer Alex Farrar, and it was written following the death of vocalist Patrick Flynn’s mother in 2024. “We went to Pat’s house just to support him in a dark time and then we ended up writing music,” guitarist Alex Henery says. “It came out of a really good place, of us just wanting to write music together in that moment, and that freed us up to experiment.”

“We’ve gone into every record with the idea that it might be the last thing we ever do,” Flynn adds. “Everything’s been treated that way because of the nature of our lives and our relationship with making music and creating art; it’s not career-driven.”

The first single is the title track, a majestic, impassioned anthem that you can hear below.

Fiddlehead begin a short tour of Europe now and have shows in North America starting next month, with Narrow Head, Elliott, Self Defense Family, Pity Sex, Knumears, Destiny Bond, Febuary, Purest Form, Posición Unida , and The Sissy Boys each joining them varying by date. The NYC show is at Warsaw on July 31 with Elliott, Self Defense Family, and Posición Unida.
