Hurricane & Pohoda Celebrate Sold-Out 30th Anniversaries, Sónar Concludes Successfully
Germany's Hurricane and Southside festivals, held June 19-21, featured The Offspring, Twenty One Pilots, and Florence + The Machine, marking a sold-out 30th year for Hurricane at the Eichenring.

German twin festivals Hurricane and Southside went down last weekend, June 19-21, with a lineup led by The Offspring, Twenty One Pilots, Yungblud, Florence + The Machine, Papa Roach, Halsey, Billy Talent, and more.
For Hurricane, which returned to the Eichenring in Scheeßel, it marked the 30th anniversary, attended by 78,000 daily visitors. Southside, which takes place at the former air filed in Neuhausen ob Eck welcomed 59,000 per day.
Dates for both Hurricane and Southside have already been set for June 18-20, 2027. The presale kicks off Tuesday, June 23. The festivals are promoted by FKP Scorpio in collaboration with DreamHaus, who are both part of the Eventim Live family of promoters and announced a partnership around their biggest events in 2024.

33,000 Tickets sold for 30th Pohoda
Another European mainstay, which also turns 30 this year, is Slovakia’s largest music and arts festival Pohoda, which will take place July 8-11 at Trenčín Airport in western Slovakia with a lineup that features The Cure, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, IDLES, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, Baxter Dury, Aldous Harding, Sofia Kourtesis, Alina Pash, Emilíana Torrini, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Adrian Quesada’s Trio Asesino, Yuki Chiba and many more international and Slovak artists.
All available 33,000 festival passes are now officially sold-out. The celebrations will begin a day earlier with a special opening event, The Cure Extra Day, on Wednesday July8, for which a few one-day tickets remain on sale.
The performance marks The Cure’s first-ever concert in Slovakia. The opening day will also feature The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, Denis Bango, Hiroko Yamamura, Jimmy Pé and additional artists.
Founded in 1997, Pohoda has grown into one of Europe’s most respected independent festivals, combining contemporary music, visual arts, literature, theatre and public debate. The festival is held annually at Trenčín Airport and is widely recognized for its welcoming atmosphere, strong community values and high production standards.

Sónar Wraps Successfully
Sónar closed its 33rd edition on June 20, after a week that once again filled the Catalonian capital of Barcelona with music, innovation, creativity and technology.
In terms of the music, Sónar 2026 presented more than 100 performances, while the conference/exhibition part Sónar+D unveiled its new home at Llotja de Mar with over 95 activities offering a glimpse of the immediate future that awaits us in the post-AI world.
The lineup of Sónar 2026 featured The Prodigy, Skepta, the live show of Cabaret Voltaire, Charlotte de Witte’s new show The Resistance, Amelie Lens, and many more.
Sónar+D, now in its 13th year, welcomed more than 4,000 attendees and 200 speakers from more than 20 countries at its new home, Llotja de Mar. Masterclasses, talks, round tables, workshops and more performances were all part of the program.
Next year’s dates have already been set: Sónar Week will return to Barcelona June 17-20, 207. The presale has begun.
