Paris La Défense Arena Renamed Plenitude Arena

Europe’s largest indoor arena will be known as Plenitude Arena effective July 1.

Plentitude is a renewable electricity company operational in 15-plus countries. The naming right partnership, which will run for a minimum of seven years, brings together two organizations that share a “vision of excellence, innovation and audience experience,” according to the partnership announcement.

But the partnership is meant to be “more than a name change” but rather “a joint commitment to establishing the Arena as a global benchmark for live entertainment and a concrete testbed for the energy transition in major event venues.”

Plenitude’s energy expertise will help optimize the building’s overall energy consumption and support its transition towards an ever more efficient and responsible operating model.

Initiatives that’ll be rolled out initially include the installation of an electric vehicle charging hub through Plenitude On The Road; the introduction of energy optimization tools; the development of solutions to reduce energy consumption across equipment and infrastructure; as well as public awareness initiatives focused on environmental and energy issues.

“Plenitude Arena aims to become a true large-scale laboratory — one capable of testing, measuring and making visible the innovations that will shape the sustainable future of major international events,” the announcement continues.

Paris La Défense Arena opened in 2017 with a concert by the Rolling Stones, and has since established itself as a major player in sport, live entertainment and large-scale international events, boasting an indoor capacity of up to 40,000.

Some of the more recent international concert highlights taken from Pollstar Boxoffice include last year’s Sept. 3 show by Post Malone, who brought his Live Nation-produced “Big Ass Stadium Tour” with Jelly Roll to France that night, moving 28,545 tickets at a $2,496,818 gross; 41,711 tickets sold and $3,038,195 grossed by The Offspring, Nov. 8, 2025, promoted by AEG Presents; or a sold-out Hans Zimmer Live show, Nov. 21, 2025 (31,579 tickets, $4,859,722 gross), promoted by Semmel Concerts Entertainment and Gérard Drouot Productions.

French and French-speaking acts are doing just as fine, if not better. Hamza, from neighboring Belgium, for instance sold 40,403 tickets and grossed $2,799,228 for his Dec. 12 show at Paris La Défense Arena – an in-house promotion. Congolese rapper GIMS, former member of iconic French hip hop group Sexion d’Assault, performed a total five shows in December, moving an impressive 187,807 tickets at a $14,235,808 gross, promoted by Gilbert Coullier Productions.

This year, domestic highlights include Josman on April 10, a shows that moved 39,964 tickets for a $2,759,975 gross, promoted by Nonstop Productions; or Artus, who sold 56,820 tickets and grossed $5,228,709 across two shows, March 27-28.

The building hosted the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the European launch of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour”, and with Bad Bunny and an exceptional Céline Dion residency coming soon , the arena continues to grow its international profile.

100 events are scheduled for the 2026–2027 season and nearly three million spectators expected making this first season under the Plenitude sponsorship one of the most significant since the venue opened.
