Jeff Tweedy Covers "Wild Connection" From Twisted Teens' Album "Blame The Clown"
Jeff Tweedy covered "Wild Connection" from Twisted Teens' "Blame The Clown" on his Substack. This is one of three albums the New Orleans band has released this year, including "The Holy Cross Tigers" and "Florida Water Blues."

Twisted Teens are all the rage. The New Orleans band just announced their third album of the year, The Holy Cross Tigers , to follow February's Blame The Clown and July's Florida Water Blues . Yesterday, Jeff Tweedy covered Blame The Clown 's "Wild Connection" for his Substack.
The Wilco frontman likes to do stripped-down covers for his newsletter, like of Cameron Winter's " Love Takes Miles " and Star Moles' " Real Magic ." About his "Wild Connection" cover, Tweedy wrote:
> I’m back from Europe and sharing a song by Twisted Teens. I recommended a different record of theirs recently . I like a lot of their songs and I like Caspian’s voice. I had trouble not trying to sing like him. That happens with a lot of the voices of singers I like. When I play their songs, I’m trying really hard not to do an imitation. But one of the reasons I do so many cover songs is that I think it’s good to hear something you like and then see what it feels like to try it on, almost like clothes. Sometimes it feels right, sometimes it feels like I’m trying to find a way into sounding like myself. On this one, I think I still sound like myself. I actually kind of feel like I maybe sound like a younger version of myself.
He also recommended Angela Autumn's new album Believer — hell yeah. Hear his "Wild Connection" cover here .
