Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have settled their legal battle tied to allegations of sexual harassment on the set of their 2024 film It Ends With Us . The former co-stars reached the agreement just two weeks before their scheduled trial date.
“The end product — the movie It Ends With Us — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind,” reads a joint statement (via TMZ ).
The statement continues, “We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.”

The legal dispute began in December 2024, when Lively sued Baldoni , accusing him of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us . She also alleged that Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, engaged in a coordinated “social manipulation” campaign to damage her reputation. Baldoni denied all of the allegations and eventually countersued to the tune of $400 million.
Last June, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed a vast majority of Baldoni’s suit. In April, the same judge dismissed ten of Lively’s claims , including those related to sexual harassment, defamation, and civil conspiracy. Several claims — including retaliation, aiding and abetting retaliation, and breach of contract — were permitted to proceed, though Baldoni himself was no longer named as a defendant. Those remaining claims were scheduled to begin trial on May 18th, prior to the newly reached settlement.
The specific terms of the settlement have not yet been disclosed. As of time of writing, there’s been no public apology issued or confirmation of any sort of payment.
