Lil Wayne Confirmed for Fortnite Crossover Event This Weekend

Epic Games has confirmed that rap superstar Lil Wayne is heading to Fortnite this weekend.

Lil Wayne is the latest artist to join the hit online game as part of their Icon series , which already features Addison Rae , EsDeeKid , Sabrina Carpenter , Travis Scott and more.

As well as a pair of Lil Wayne skins, the collaboration includes a number of Weezy-inspired accessories while three of his biggest songs will be added to Fortnite Festival .

Everything included in the Lil Wayne x Fortnite collab:

- Lil Wayne outfit – Gold graffiti glows and pulses to the beat, with toggleable sunglasses

- Weezy outfit – Wayne’s signature look, with an ember reactive style and a toggleable tank top, hat, and sunglasses

- Milli Bricks back bling – a stack of gold bricks in the shape of the Young Money logo

- Weezy Board back bling– a flaming skateboard

- Weezy Boardbreaker pickaxe – a dual-wield broken skateboard that fires up on every weak point

- Young Money Stage glider – Pyrotechnics fire when deployed and stage lights follow the player down

- ‘Lollipop’ emote – choreography from the ‘Lollipop; music video with Las Vegas-inspired lighting

- ‘6 Foot 7 Foot’ emote – dance moves performed by Lil Wayne

- ‘Lollipop’ jam track

- ‘A Milli’ jam track

The Lil Wayne x Fortnite collaboration goes live tomorrow (September 12). The same day, players can compete in the Weezy Icon Cup in either Solo Battle Royale or Solo Zero Build. “Top regional performers will earn the Weezy Outfit and Weezy Board Back Bling before they hit the Shop, and everyone who competes earns the YM Emoticon,” said Epic Games in a blog post.

The current headline act of Fortnite ’s dedicated rhythm game Festival is rapper Lil Tecca . “I’m always trying to get new fans and introduce people to what might be their new favourite artist, so this is a great opportunity [to do that],” he told NME recently . “I also want people that have already been listening to my music to see me, a fellow Fortnite player, in the game and it move them. I want to inspire [someone to become] the next Lil Tecca.”

In other news, the latest  Just Dance  game  Decades Of Hits  is out this October but will only feature 35 tracks at launch.
