MUNA Member Naomi McPherson Distances Band from Gal Gadot with "Free Palestine" Post
Following MUNA's appearance on "Kimmel" alongside Gal Gadot, Naomi McPherson clarified in a social media post that the band does not share Gadot's political views, adding "Free Palestine."

MUNA were the musical guests on Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! episode, which also featured an interview with Gal Gadot , a former IDF soldier and one of the most prominent pro-Israel voices in Hollywood. In a social media post, band member Naomi McPherson made it clear that they do not share Gadot’s views.
“we’re on kimmel tonight! thank you to all the staff of the show who were so great to us… they were legends who really went the extra mile,” McPherson wrote on their Instagram Stories. “this was taped a few days ago & we weren’t told who any of the guests were gonna be. so gotta also just take this moment also to say a nice big huge free palestine.”

She later speculated in 2025 that her reluctance to “speak out against Israel” contributed to Disney’s live-action Snow White remake being a box office flop. “I felt that those who are against Israel criticized me in a very personal, almost visceral way,” Gadot elaborated. “They saw me first and foremost as an Israeli, not as an actress.”
Meanwhile, MUNA performed “Dancing on the Wall,” the title track from their latest album . They’re set to kick off a fall North American tour next week.
