Judge Judy Steps Down in October; Son Adam Levy to Host New Series, Adam's Law

Judge Judy Sheindlin has decided to end her long reign as TV’s most famous judge, with her final episode of Judy Justice airing this October. “I have a lot of other things of interest,” Sheindlin explained to People in an interview . “I don’t want to do hair and makeup anymore, but I still want my message to get out there.”

This means, in addition to other retirement fun, that Sheindlin will be developing an adult animated series based on her life, as well as executive producing the new series Adam’s Law , featuring her son Adam Levy following in her footsteps as an arbiter over televised small claims court disputes. “There aren’t a lot of people who can carry a half hour on their own unscripted,” she told People . “He has what it takes.”

Adam’s Law will begin airing in syndication on September 14th. Judy Justice continues to stream on Prime Video .
