Nashville will host the 2030 Super Bowl in the Tennessee Titans’ new Nissan Stadium. Team owners voted today during the Spring League Meeting in Orlando, to hold the NFL championship game in Music City For the first time.

The stadium was designed with hosting a future Super Bowl in mind including a domed roof and adequate seating for a Super Bowl audience. Nissan Stadium is on track to open in February 2027 – giving the Titans ample time to work out any necessary adjustments in time for the Big Game.

Controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said the Titans are thrilled Nashville’s first Super Bowl and thanked NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, her fellow NFL owners and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp for their partnership.

“We are thrilled that the new Nissan Stadium will host Nashville’s first Super Bowl in 2030,” Strunk said in a statement. “This is an exciting moment for our city and our entire state. We cannot wait for our community to experience an event of this magnitude and for the world to see the energy, hospitality and culture that make our city so special on a global stage. We look forward to bringing an unforgettable Super Bowl experience to Nashville together.”

Nashville started making the case for a Super Bowl win in 2019, when the city hosted the NFL Draft with the biggest crowds in draft history and a complete takeover of Lower Broadway in downtown Nashville with bands playing between draft picks and headliners like Tim McGraw performing each night.

“We are grateful to the NFL for the confidence they have placed in our community,” added Deana Ivey, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “Nashville has earned a reputation for hosting major events at the highest level, and we are ready to welcome the world.”

“The 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville was one of the greatest fan events in our history,” Goodell said in a statement. “Super Bowl LXIV at the new stadium is the next step in this remarkable football journey. The vision of Amy Adams Strunk and the Tennessee Titans helped make this moment possible. With great partners at the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. and Tennessee Titans, we can’t wait to put on an unforgettable show in 2030.”

The NFL has several criteria for picking a stadium including access to a major airport hub, an average February temperature above 50°F (or a domed stadium), NFL-quality practice facilities, a minimum capacity of 70,000 and 35% of hotel inventory within 60 minutes.

Only New Orleans – which hosted the Super Bowl for the 11 th time in 2025 – and Las Vegas – which hosted the championship for the first time in 2024 – have more hotel rooms within a one-mile radius of the stadium than Nashville. The market is expected to have 658 hotels with more than 80,000 hotel rooms by 2030. Nashville currently has more than 61,000 hotel rooms.

The $2.1 billion enclosed stadium is being built with $760 million in bonds issued by Nashville’s sports authority, with an additional $500 million in state bonds. The combined $1.2 billion in public funding was considered the largest public commitment in funding for an NFL stadium when it was approved in 2022. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, is the most expensive NFL stadium in the U.S. with a construction cost of $5.5 billion. The stadium will host the Super Bowl in 2027 followed by Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in 2028 and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in 2029.
