Russian Circles Announce New Album & Tour, Share "Empath" Track

Russian Circles have announced new album Nine — and yes it’s their ninth — which will be out August 28 via Sergeant House. They’ve also announced a fall tour.

“The music we make is a collective process of reconciliation, navigation, and reflection upon aging both as individuals and as a creative entity,” Pelican say of Nine . “Life has created very real distances between us, but the band continues to be at the center, and this creative collaboration is a way of charting the passage of time while also giving us a reason to look to the future.”

Russian Circles tour starts September 25 in Milwaukee and features Pelican as openers through October 13 in Indianapolis. The tour picks up again on November 4 in St. Louis with Primitive Man opening. The NYC show is at Knockdown Center on October 1 and tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, June 26 at 10 AM local time.
