Due out August 28th via Blue Élan Records, MPLS Unplugged was recorded at Minneapolis’ historic State Theatre back in April 2023. There, Soul Asylum teamed with returning keyboardist Ivan Neville, STRINGenius string quartet, and the Robert Robinson Gospel Singers for an intimate set “showcasing the depth and emotional resonance that have defined the band’s music for more than four decades,” per a press release.
