The Jayhawks Reveal New Album ‘Sanctuary Park’ and Tour Dates

Americana greats The Jayhawks have announced Sanctuary Park , their 12th album, which will be out August 28 via Thirty Tigers. It was produced by Bob Ezrin (Lou Reed, Alice Cooper) who worked on their 2000 album Smile . “I love their music,” says Ezrin. “There is gentleness and a sweetness to their sound, and I found myself craving a little bit more of that.“

“Get us in a room together and there’s no one better,” Jayhawks say, “We have a certain musical magic that happens without even a word or a discussion.” You can listen to first single “Keeping Our Heads Above Water” now.

The Jayhawks will be on tour starting in July and just added fall shows to their schedule, including NYC’s The Town Hall on October 23 . Tickets for all just-announced shows go on sale Friday, June 26 at 10 AM local time.
