Union Pool Unveils Summer Thunder 2026 Free Show Lineup Featuring Sun Ra Arkestra, Angel Du$t

Union Pool has announced the 2026 lineup for its annual Summer Thunder series which has been bringing free shows to their backyard patio since 2012. This year there are four shows, all Sundays, including two artists who have played pretty much every year: Latin king of soul Joe Bataan opens Summer Thunder on July 5 , and Sun Ra Arkestra (still led by Marshall Allen who just turned 102) closes out the season on August 9 .

In between, Angel Du$t   will play July 12 and Dead Moon co-founder Toody Cole and her band will play August 2 .

Summer Thunder shows are free and open to the public; doors open at 2 PM and the performances are over by 6 PM.
