Ween to Release Expanded ‘12 Golden Country Greats’ Featuring 20+ Unheard Tracks
Ween’s classic album, "12 Golden Country Greats," will be reissued on July 31 as a Deluxe Edition, containing over 20 previously unreleased songs, including "Bad Day In Brownsville."
Ween are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their fifth album, 12 Golden Country Greats , with a Deluxe Edition which will be out July 31 via Rhino. You can preorder the 3-LP vinyl set in the BV shop .
Produced by Ben Vaughn in Nashville, the album features Dean and Gene backed by The Shit Creek Boys, a group of elite session musicians including players who had backed Elvis Presley among many others. 12 Golden Country Greats , which includes Ween classics “Piss Up A Rope,” “I’m Holding You,” and “Pretty Girl,” has been remastered from the original tapes and comes with more than 20 unreleased demos and outtakes from the Nashville sessions. Among them are two songs cut from the original album, “I’ve Got No Darkside” and Jerry Garcia tribute “So Long, Jerry.”
