Christopher Nolan’s 'The Prestige' Sets First-Ever 70mm IMAX Theatrical Run

Christopher Nolan is bringing 70mm IMAX magic to one of his earliest films — The Prestige , starring Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale as dueling magicians, will return to theaters on January 29th, 2027, just over 20 years after its original release.

The official description, courtesy of Disney:

Robert Angier (Jackman), a charismatic showman, and Alfred Borden (Bale), a gifted illusionist, are two young, passionate magicians – friends and partners until one fateful night when their biggest trick goes terribly wrong. Now the bitterest of enemies, they will stop at nothing to learn each other’s secrets. As their rivalry escalates into a total obsession full of deceit and sabotage, they risk everything to become the greatest magician of all time. But nothing is as it seems, so watch closely.

Should your eyeballs not be able to take the glory of 70mm IMAX, there will be 35mm and 2D Digital screenings as well.
