Descendents Reissue ‘All’ and ‘Liveage’ on Exclusive Vinyl

Descendents and Org Music’s reissue campaign continues with reissues of the band’s fourth album, All , and their 1987 live album Liveage . We have exclusive vinyl variants of each — All on blue & silver vinyl , and Liveage on orange & blue vinyl — limited to 300 copies each. Pre-order yours now in the BV shop .

All is also available in the limited “Punk Note” edition (based on classic Blue Note album layouts) with new artwork and new liner notes written by BrooklynVegan’s Andrew Sacher, and you can pick that up in the BV shop as well, along with more Descendents records and merch.

For the uninitiated, All is Descendents’ fourth album but it also marked a new beginning. It was the first album with the lineup that Descendents still have today: vocalist Milo Aukerman, drummer Bill Stevenson, guitarist Stephen Egerton, and bassist Karl Alvarez. It also found Bill coming into his own as the band’s producer, and it found Stephen introducing the “nasty chords” (as Bill refers to them) that are now a trademark of Descendents’ proto-pop punk sugar high. Liveage! was the band’s first live album and it was recorded on the tour in support of All , which was the band’s final tour before Milo left and the remaining members formed the band All, until they finally reunited for 1996’s Everything Sucks .

Descendents are wrapping up a tour of Australia and New Zealand now, and have North American shows from August through September with fellow LA-area punk vets Social Distortion and Australian punks The Chats , including Asbury Park’s Stone Pony Summer Stage on September 5 and Brooklyn Paramount on September 11 and 12 .
