Ghazi’s Supply Chain Expands Globally, Appoints Staff & Partners With Ampsuite

EMPIRE founder and CEO Ghazi is expanding his independent white-label distribution platform Supply Chain globally, it was announced Wednesday (Oct. 21). The international headquarters for the platform, which is separate from EMPIRE, is located in Amsterdam.

Along with the expansion, Supply Chain announced that Kristy May is joining the company as senior vp of business affairs and that Craig May was hired as senior vp of marketing. It also revealed that it has taken on Beatport’s label management and distribution platform Ampsuite as a client.

Ghazi first announced Supply Chain in 2023. The platform offers SaaS and API solutions that allow distributors, labels, brands, service providers and retailers to distribute music to any service provider. Notably, with Amsterdam-headquartered FUGA having joined the Universal Music Group-owned Virgin as part of the Downtown merger , Supply Chain’s global expansion gives indie labels hoping to remain outside the major label system another distribution option.

“I know what independent music can achieve when it has the right infrastructure,” Ghazi said in a statement. “Too often, independents have had to rely on inefficient systems. Supply Chain changes that. Our software is built for independents and it’s designed to connect and serve the independent community.”

“Ampsuite offers the most complete set of tools for the labels that power Beatport, but we are always looking to provide more and respond to evolution in the industry,” Matt Gralen , Beatport’s CEO, said in a statement. “In Supply Chain, we have a partner that offers advanced features out of the box and the ability and ambition to build for the future of the business.”

“The best partnerships are built on trust, clarity and a genuine understanding of what each business is trying to achieve,” Kristy May said in a statement. “I’m excited to help build Supply Chain in a way that supports independent companies not just today, but as they grow and evolve over time.”

Craig May added, “Independent music businesses need infrastructure they can trust, but they also need the freedom to use it on their own terms. Our role is to give clients reliable, flexible infrastructure that fits the way they already operate, helps them scale, and gives them greater control over their business. If our clients grow, we grow.”
