The "Ian Curtis: Insight" exhibit, celebrating the late Joy Division singer, will be open to the public from June 25th to July 22nd at the Voltz Clarke Gallery in New York City.

Late Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis will be celebrated with an exhibit opening at New York City’s Voltz Clarke Gallery in late June, bringing rare archival material from the legendary UK singer to the United States for the first time.
The exhibit, titled “Ian Curtis: Insight,” will run from June 25th through July 22nd, and be free to the public. It will feature a collection of Curtis artifacts that is held by the John Rylands Library at the University of Manchester as part of the British Pop Archive.
Among the items set to be on display are handwritten lyrics, photographs, and personal letters, with much of the material making its stateside debut.
“Joy Division singer Ian Curtis is a seminal figure in the history of UK popular culture,” stated Mat Bancroft, Curator of the British Pop Archive at The John Rylands Library. “A lyricist and performer of great emotion and energy, who for many — defined post-punk. His personal archive contains handwritten lyrics, his personal record and book collections, fan letters and ephemera. ‘ Ian Curtis : Insight’ brings a selection of these materials to public view for the first time.”
