WME Expands Contemporary Music Department with New Agents Barbara Frum and Michelle Martinez

WME has added two new team members to its contemporary music department, hiring Barbara Frum and Michelle Martinez as agents.

Kirk Sommer, WME’s global head of contemporary music and touring, announced the additions Tuesday and added, “We’re excited for Barbara and Michelle to join the team and to see the value they create for our clients. Their cross-disciplinary approach, combining backgrounds in creative touring and non-traditional strategy, will serve our clients well.”

Frum, who will work out of the agency’s Beverly Hills office, previously worked in international touring at Outer/Most Agency and has worked with a diverse group of artists, including Rhiannon Giddens, Hermanos Gutiérrez, oskar med k and more. She will continue to focus on international touring at WME, booking electronic, pop and rock acts across Canada.

Before working at Outer/Most, Frum founded and developed Sharing Spaces, her own independent agency and artist management company. She has also produced and raised financing for theatrical and multidisciplinary projects such as Feist’s MULTITUDES , Heart of Brick by serpentwithfeet and Wu Tsang’s Moby Dick . Frum will launch The Surge: An Ode to Sinéad O’Connor—directed by Sonya Tayeh and co-produced with The Joyce Theater and Factory International—in June.

Martinez comes from Creative Artists Agency, where she worked with clients like Coi Leray, Key Glock, Lance Bass, Fivio Foreign, Natalie Jane and more. For WME, she will be based in New York and handle a diverse roster of established and rising talent, including clients such as Jai’Len Josey, Soulidified, and Oliver Malcolm.

Prior to starting her live music career at ICM Partners, Martinez worked in digital marketing and publicity at Atlantic Records.
