Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman Returns to Mark America’s 250th Anniversary

It’s only fitting that as America turns 250 in 2026, we don’t get a criminal lawyer, we get a criminal lawyer. To celebrate the United States’ Semiquincentennial, Bob Odenkirk has returned to his famed Saul Goodman character to deliver a birthday message for the nation.

Get Better Caul Saul: The Complete Series on Blu-ray

In a new message created by Breaking Bad writer/director and Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould , Odenkirk’s Goodman reminds us that the “old timey” rights set out by our founding fathers and the generations who’ve upheld the country since are still relevant. We have “rights coming out the wazoo” because those men and women “sacrificed everything they had for this awesome wallpaper behind me,” says Goodman. “Know your rights, and for the love of Mike, don’t ever give ’em up.”

That sign off leads to another cheeky Better Caul Saul cameo, and you can watch the clip below. Happy birthday, America [ salutes aggressively ].
