About the series
The PGA Championship rotates among leading American courses, which means the character of the event changes with the host. Course setup, weather window and spectator movement are all venue-specific, so each edition needs its own planning rather than a template.
As with the other majors, the week is built around practice days followed by four competition rounds, with weekend rounds drawing the largest crowds and the tightest access.
Because the host venue changes, the useful evergreen question is which round you want to attend, then travel and lodging around the announced venue once it is confirmed.
What to check before you buy
- Host venue changes each year; check the announced course.
- Practice days and competition rounds are sold separately.
- Weekend rounds carry the heaviest attendance.
