Sports Ticket Guides

Help for finding sports events across OriginalTickets and choosing where to sit — by league, team, venue or city, from a regular-season game to a championship series.

Finding teams, leagues, venues and cities

Sports coverage is organised so you can start wherever you already know something: a league, a team, the venue you want to visit, or the city you will be in.

League and sport pages group the teams and competitions beneath them. Venue pages are useful when the building matters as much as the matchup, and city pages help when you are planning around a trip.

  • Browse by sport and league from the Sports hub.
  • Browse teams to reach a specific club's coverage.
  • Browse venues or cities when you are planning around a place.

Regular season, postseason and championship series

Most leagues play a scheduled regular season followed by a postseason involving a subset of teams. Regular-season games are scheduled well in advance, while postseason matchups, hosts and dates are only confirmed as earlier rounds finish.

Recurring championship events and major event series have their own evergreen pages describing what the event is, where it is customarily held and how it is structured. Those pages avoid year-specific claims until details are confirmed.

Choosing seating by sport and venue

What counts as a good seat depends on the sport. For field sports, sideline positions give a wider view of play while end positions sit behind the action. For court and rink sports, lower rows are close but flatter, and higher rows give a fuller view of the whole surface.

Layouts vary between venues even for the same sport, so check an official venue seating chart where one is available rather than relying on section numbering alone.

Home and visitor orientation

Some venues seat home and visiting supporters in particular areas, and some competitions designate a specific visiting section. If sitting with a particular set of supporters matters to you, check the venue's own guidance for that event.

What affects sports ticket prices

Availability and prices generally reflect how much interest a specific game attracts and how much seating remains: the opponent, the stage of the season, the day of the week, the size of the venue and where the seat is located all play a part.

We do not publish price predictions or claim a best time to buy for any game.

Outdoor events and weather

Outdoor and partly covered venues expose you to weather. Some sections are more sheltered than others, and cover is not always obvious from a seating map.

Policies on delays, suspended play and what happens to tickets in severe weather are set by the venue, the league and your order terms. Check those sources rather than assuming an outcome.

Accessibility and venue policies

Bag rules, entry times, prohibited items, re-entry, alcohol rules and accessible seating are venue-specific and can change between events in the same building. Confirm them with the venue for your event date.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find tickets for a specific team?
Browse the league or sport, then open the team's page. From there you can reach coverage for that club and any listings available for its events.
Why aren't postseason games listed yet?
Postseason matchups, hosts and dates are only confirmed as earlier rounds finish, so we do not list a game or a date before it is confirmed.
Which seats are best at a stadium or arena?
It depends on the sport and the building. Sideline and centre positions give a broader view of play, while end positions and higher rows trade proximity for perspective. Check an official seating chart for the venue.
What happens if a game is delayed by weather?
The venue and league decide how a delayed or suspended game is handled, and what that means for your ticket is set by your order terms.
