How an MMA event is structured
A mixed martial arts event is a single card of bouts, usually split into preliminary fights and a main card, with the headline bout last. Some promotions broadcast those segments on different platforms, but they are one event at one venue on one night.
Bouts are matched by the promotion and can change. Withdrawals and replacements are a normal part of the sport, so the official event page is the only reliable source for the current line-up.
- Preliminary bouts and the main card are part of the same ticket.
- The headline bout is last and its start time is an estimate.
- Announced match-ups can change before the event.
Seating around the cage
The cage stands on the arena floor. Floor seats are nearest but low, which means the cage structure itself can sit between you and part of the action. Elevated lower-bowl seats look down into the cage and usually give the clearest continuous view; upper-level seats are furthest but see the whole floor and the screens.
Individual events are covered as events rather than permanent pages, because a specific card is inventory rather than a durable subject.
- Elevated seats look into the cage; floor seats look across it.
- Doors and first-bout times differ from the headline bout.
- Seating layouts, permitted items and entry policies are set by each venue and each event, so check the official venue and event information before you travel.
UFC & MMA ticket questions
- Does one ticket cover the prelims and the main card?
- Yes. Attending the event covers the full card at that venue that night, even where broadcast segments are split across platforms.
- What happens if the main event changes?
- Replacements and withdrawals are common. Any entitlement depends on the promotion's terms and the terms attached to your order.

UFC & MMA Tickets Guide
Mixed martial arts (MMA) is the sport. UFC is the best known professional promotion competing within it, alongside other organisations such as Bellator MMA.
From this section you can open the UFC entity page, browse the arenas that host fight nights under venues, look at the cities that host them, and explore the wider sports section or Discover. Once approved live provider inventory is connected, verified events with their dates, venues, availability and all-in pricing can appear on the relevant pages. Until then we publish no fight cards, dates or prices.

What Is UFC? What Is MMA?
Mixed martial arts is a regulated combat sport in which competitors may both strike and grapple. Athletes draw on boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai for striking, on wrestling and judo for takedowns and control, and on Brazilian jiu-jitsu for submissions and ground work, all inside one ruleset.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship is a promotion: an organisation that signs athletes, arranges bouts and stages events. It is not a synonym for the sport. Other promotions run their own events under the same broad regulatory framework, so "an MMA event" and "a UFC event" are not interchangeable descriptions.

How a UFC Event Works
A UFC event is built from several separate bouts listed together as a fight card. Cards are usually split into preliminary bouts and a main card, with one featured main event closing the night. Some events also include one or more championship bouts.
Because each bout ends when it ends, the running time of an event is not fixed. A card can finish well ahead of or behind expectations depending on how quickly individual fights are resolved.
Announced matchups are not guarantees. Bouts are added, moved or withdrawn for injury, medical, regulatory and other reasons, so we never present a card as locked. When live event data is connected, event pages will carry the verified information supplied for that specific event.

UFC Weight Classes
Currently active divisions. Verify against official UFC division information before changing.
UFC competition is organised into weight divisions with an upper limit for each. Non-title bouts generally allow a one-pound allowance above the division limit, while a championship bout requires the athlete to make the championship weight exactly. Weigh-in procedure, allowances and medical requirements are set by the applicable athletic commission and the terms of the individual bout, so the governing rules for any given event are those of its jurisdiction.
Champions and rankings change often and are deliberately not reproduced here.

Understanding Rounds, Judging & Ways a Fight Can End
Standard UFC bouts are generally scheduled for three rounds of five minutes. Championship bouts and UFC main events are generally scheduled for five rounds of five minutes. Scheduled length depends on the individual bout and on the rules in force where the event is held.
A bout can end by knockout, technical knockout or stoppage, by submission, by the judges' decision when the scheduled rounds are completed, by disqualification, or by another official result recorded under the applicable rules. Where a fight goes the distance, judges score it under the Unified Rules of MMA as adopted and applied by the relevant commission.
This is a general explanation rather than a regulatory reference; the commission overseeing an event is the authority on how its rules are applied.

UFC Arenas & the Live MMA Experience
An MMA event has a different geometry from most arena sports. The Octagon sits at the centre of the floor, and everything is oriented inward towards it, so no part of the action is more than a few metres wide.
The fence changes what different seats offer. Close floor seats give proximity and the sound of the arena, but the mesh sits between you and the athletes and can cut across the view when the fight moves to the canvas. A little elevation lets you see over the fence line and follow grappling exchanges, which is where much of an MMA bout is decided. Higher centred seating trades intimacy for a complete view of the floor, walkouts and the arena's reaction. Video boards supplement the live view at most arenas but should not be assumed to replace it.
Layout, floor configuration and sightlines vary by arena and by event. Examples of arenas that host combat sports and have pages here include T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Madison Square Garden in New York City, Kaseya Center in Miami, Honda Center in Anaheim and Prudential Center in Newark.

Choosing Seats for a UFC Event
Floor layouts and sightlines vary by event and arena. Review the specific listing and seat map when one is available.
There is no single best seat for an MMA event, only a trade between proximity, elevation and overall perspective. Walkout paths, floor rows and camera positions are set per event, so we never promise a particular view of the Octagon.
Floor / Octagon-side seating
The closest seating on the arena floor, immediately around the Octagon. Maximum proximity and atmosphere, with the fence in your line of sight and limited elevation when the fight goes to the canvas. Row layouts differ by event.Lower Bowl Centred
Elevated enough to see over the fence, aligned with the middle of the floor. Often the most balanced compromise between closeness and a clear view of the whole bout.Lower Bowl Corner / End
An angled view of the floor from nearer the ends of the arena, usually priced below comparable centred seats while keeping the Octagon reasonably close.Club / Premium Areas
Sections sold with additional access or services that differ by arena and by event. Confirm exactly what is included before deciding.Upper Bowl Centred
The broadest perspective on the floor, walkouts and crowd, typically at the lowest prices. Detail on the canvas is harder to read, and video boards matter more from here.

What Affects UFC Ticket Prices?
Resale prices for a fight night respond to a combination of factors rather than any one of them:
- how significant the event is, and whether it carries a numbered pay-per-view billing - whether the card includes a championship bout - how widely followed the athletes on the card are - the host city and arena, and how often that market hosts events - where the seat sits: floor, lower bowl, premium or upper bowl - how deep the rest of the card is beneath the main event - the day of the week and the start time - overall demand in that market and how much inventory is still listed - late changes to the card
There is no universal rule that waiting makes tickets cheaper, and none that they always rise. Prices move in both directions and depend on the specific event. We do not quote prices in editorial content: any price shown on OriginalTickets comes from verified provider inventory attached to a real event record, and includes all fees.

Fight Cards Can Change
It is normal for an MMA card to look different on event day than it did when it was announced. Bouts change because of injury in training, illness, weight or medical issues, decisions by the athletic commission, or other circumstances affecting either athlete.
If you are buying for a specific matchup, check the current card close to the event, and treat any earlier line-up as provisional. We aim to display the event information supplied to us accurately, and we will not state that a particular athlete will compete unless the underlying event record supports it. Anything a specific listing or seller says about changes or cancellations is governed by that provider's own published terms.

Championship Fights & UFC Rankings
Each active weight division has its own championship, and title bouts are generally scheduled for five rounds rather than three. A title fight usually raises the profile of the event it headlines.
Rankings describe where athletes sit competitively within a division and are used to frame matchmaking, but they move after almost every event. In 2026 UFC began moving from its traditional media-panel rankings to a data-driven Meta UFC Rankings system computed from results.
Because champions and rankings change constantly, we deliberately keep them out of this evergreen section. Official rankings are current information published by UFC. If we later connect a live sports-data source, that dynamic information would sit separately from editorial content like this.

Planning Your UFC Event Night
A short checklist before a fight night:
- Confirm the event date, the scheduled start time and the arena. - Check the current fight card, since bouts can change after they are announced. - Confirm how your tickets are delivered and that you can open them on your phone. - Read the arena's bag, security and entry policies. - Plan parking or transit, and allow for arena-district traffic. - Decide when to arrive. Preliminary bouts often begin well before the main card. - Look at the arena's seating and entry information for your section. - Expect a variable finish time, because fight length varies.
Event-specific details such as start times, entry rules and prohibited items come from the official UFC and arena information for that event. Our venues and cities pages and the help centre cover what we can tell you ourselves.

A Short History of UFC
The first UFC event was held on 12 November 1993 at McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado. It ran as an eight-man single-night tournament, and Royce Gracie won it, competing in a gi and finishing his opponents on the ground.
The early premise was a comparison between disciplines: a boxer against a wrestler, a karate practitioner against a jiu-jitsu practitioner, with each athlete representing a background rather than a common training system. What emerged instead was a new sport, as competitors realised they had to be able to strike, wrestle and defend submissions.
The framework around the competition changed alongside it. Rounds, gloves, weight classes, medical checks and a defined list of fouls were introduced, and in November 2000 the Unified Rules of MMA were adopted, giving athletic commissions a common standard to sanction bouts under. Zuffa ownership began in 2001, and UFC grew from there into a global promotion staging regularly sanctioned professional events. Today it operates under TKO Group Holdings.
