Dave Chappelle Announces North American Arena Tour This Fall

Comedy giant Dave Chappelle announced a North American arena tour this fall, with shows in major markets like Nashville, Toronto and Houston.

The award-winning comedian, actor, writer and producer kicks off fall tour Oct. 20 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and the routing includes stops at Spectrum Center at Charlotte, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Austin’s Moody Center and Toyota Center in Houston before wrapping up Nov. 6 at Madison Square Garden as part of the New York Comedy Festival.

“Dave is one of the defining comedians of his generation and, without question, one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time,” Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival, said in a statement. “To have Dave close out his tour by opening our festival is spectacular.”

The shows are phone-free experiences. Guests will have to secure their phones, smartwatches and other devices in individual Yondr pouches, which are unlocked at the end of the show. Guests will maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them in designated areas within the venue.

Chappelle recently concluded a summer arena run that included shows in Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago and San Diego. He then returned to his hometown in Springs, Ohio, for the sixth edition of Dave Chappelle’s Summer Camp, which is a series of intimate shows at Wirrig Pavilion. He also performed two sold-out sets at Eventim Apollo in London and hosted Ms. Lauryn Hill’s inaugural U.K. Diaspora Calling! Festival at the Milton Keynes National Bowl.
