Beyoncé & Jay-Z's 'Crazy in Love' Joins YouTube's Billion Views Club

Beyoncé and Jay-Z ‘s “Crazy in Love” has officially entered YouTube’s Billion Views Club.

It’s been more than two decades since the iconic collaboration introduced the world to Beyoncé as a solo superstar, and its official music video has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, making it the singer’s third music video to reach this milestone, following “Halo” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”

Released in 2003 as the lead single from Beyoncé’s solo debut album, Dangerously in Love , “Crazy in Love” established Bey as a force to be reckoned with outside of Destiny’s Child. The Jake Nava-directed video is every bit as memorable as the song, thanks to Beyoncé’s now-iconic choreography and Jay-Z’s appearance for his verse. The visual was also recognized at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, where it won for best choreography.

The song was just as dominant on the Billboard charts upon its release. “Crazy in Love” became Beyoncé’s first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist, spending eight consecutive weeks atop the chart.

The track’s success has hardly faded with time, as it recently received an eight-times-platinum certification from the RIAA in December 2024, representing 8 million certified units in the U.S.

With its latest YouTube achievement, “Crazy in Love” joins “Halo” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” as Beyoncé’s three videos to surpass 1 billion views.
