Cardi took a moment to reflect on her high-fashion moment, which saw her thank Vogue global editorial director Anna Wintour and designer Donatella Versace for the “dream” opportunity.

“To @voguemagazine and to Anna, I can’t say thank you enough for thinking of me, for having me apart of such a beautiful moment,” she wrote on Instagram the next day. “A moment I will never forget! You all put so much thought and detail into my look! What a dream!”

Cardi, who brought Italian maximalism to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II runway while wearing a colorful 2018 Versace dress emblazoned with vintage Vogue covers, continued: “How did I get so lucky, not only to be wearing an iconic 1991 Vintage Versace, but also to be wearing my favorite artist Madonna’s first Vogue cover on my body! To Donatella, thank you for inviting me into your beautiful home and taking the time to give me the history on what makes it so stunning! I had such a beautiful night Milan you owe me nothing.”

The 33-year-old wasn’t the only superstar to strut down the runway, as fellow Bronx native Jennifer Lopez, mgk and J Balvin were also among the models in the show. Laced in a Francesco Risso dress, Alicia Keys delivered a celestial performance of Donna Summer’s 1977 top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hit “I Feel Love.”

On the music front, Cardi confirmed she’s already hard at work on her third studio album, and she’s promising the Bardi Gang it won’t be a seven-year gap between projects.

Cardi B is aiming for a 2027 release of a new LP, but she also teased some surprises before the year expires in an interview with Entertainment Tonight . She said: “Even this year, I’m going to be dropping little things, little by little.”
