‘Control: Resonant’ Team Releases Six Tracks From Diverse Soundtrack

The team behind Control: Resonant have shared six songs from the game’s funky, genre-hopping soundtrack – check out ‘Zoe’s Mixtape’ below:

Control: Resonant is out tomorrow (September 24). Set seven years after the events of 2019’s Control , players will take control of Dylan Faden, the older brother of original protagonist Jesse. “Explore a warped Manhattan on the brink of paranatural annihilation in this thrilling action-adventure RPG. Unleash the extraordinary powers of Dylan Faden as he fights for his humanity and our survival against a reality-bending cosmic threat,” reads an official description of the game.

To give players a taste of what’s to come from Control: Resonant , developers Remedy Entertainment have shared a six-track EP of music made exclusively for the game, dedicated to Dylan’s Federal Bureau Of Control handler Zoe De Vera.

“You have been telling us our musical selections have been amazing, so here’s a few more bangers for you from Finland’s finest with international guests,” explained Remedy’s communications director Thomas Puha.

‘Zoe’s EP’ includes Vilma Jää’s viral hit ‘Manalan Mailla’, which soundtracked an earlier Control Resonant trailer . “The story of the song is heavily based on the story of the whole game itself,” Jää said in a recent interview with Forbes .

“A central theme in Control Resonant is the pursuit of humanity in a strange, esoteric world. With that context, I wanted to explore the tension between surrealism and something deeply familiar,” added the game’s creative director Mikael Kasurinen. “Vilma, with her unique spin on deeply grounded human themes, was a perfect fit for that.” More news about the game’s OST will reportedly be shared at a later date.

Control: Resonant is out tomorrow for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It currently has a “generally favourable” score of 84 out of 100 on review aggregate site Metacritic .
