Dove Ellis Releases Live Album Featuring Five New Songs to Benefit War Child

Dove Ellis has announced a new concert album, ‘Live At Alexandra Palace Theatre’, in aid of War Child . Find all the details below.

The 15-track record captures the Irish, Manchester-based indie folk artist’s sold-out London show earlier this year – which scored a glowing four-and-a-half-star review from NME .

It is set for release on Friday November 13 on double vinyl only, limited to 1,500 copies. The project will not be available via online streaming platforms. Pre-order here .

All money raised from ‘Live At Alexandra Palace Theatre’ goes directly towards War Child’s vital work providing specialist mental health support, education, immediate aid and protection to children around the world affected by war.

Ellis’ performance in the capital leaned heavily on his acclaimed, Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut album, 2025’s ‘Blizzard’ .

He also treated the audience to five new, unreleased songs (‘The Royal Brown Hole’, ‘Two Brothers Smoking’, ‘It Barks’, ‘Marooning’, and ‘Nest Amongst Stars’) as well as his cover of ‘April The 14th, Part 1’ by Gillian Welch.

‘Live At Alexandra Palace Theatre’ marks the first artist release on War Child Records since the hugely successful, Mercury -nominated ‘Help(2)’ charity album. Ellis teamed up with Anna Calvi , Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice , and Nilüfer Yanya on ‘Sunday Light’ from the star-studded collection.

NME ‘s review of Ellis’ Alexandra Palace Theatre show hailed the musician’s “captivating voice”, adding: “For a moment, the 1,000-strong crowd stand in complete silence, both enraptured and confused.

“This is part of the thrill of the Irish musician’s gigs right now – even if you know his debut album ‘Blizzard’ front to back, his setlists are still peppered with unexpected moments and unreleased songs that can catch you off guard.”

Meanwhile, Ellis recently joined Wolf Alice on stage at Green Man to perform ‘Sunday Light’ . He has also been announced for Brighton’s Mutations Festival next month. Ellis is then due to embark on a brief UK and Ireland tour in November. Find any remaining tickets here .

In  a four-star review of ‘Blizzard’ ,  NME  described the album as “mostly a collection of solid guitar songs, and it captures the insatiable energy that’s garnered Ellis his critical acclaim so early in his career”.

It added: “Though he could push his sound to be a bit more personal, he’s already armed with a generational voice, an explorative mindset and a singular writing style. Something exciting is bound to emerge from the storm.”
