Emmys In Memoriam Segment Omits Six Notable Figures, Including Chuck Norris
The Emmys' annual In Memoriam tribute faced criticism for excluding several prominent individuals. Among those noticeably absent from the segment were Chuck Norris, Nicholas Brendon, Peter Cullen, Daveigh Chase, Patrick Muldoon, and Tom Kan

At the 2026 Emmy Awards , Noah Kahan performed a cover of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” during the In Memoriam segment , which honored recently deceased television figures including Rob Reiner, Sam Neill, Tim Curry, Isaiah Whitlock Jr., James Van Der Beek, and Catherine O’Hara.
Several notable names were absent from the tribute, however, according to The Hollywood Reporter . Among them were Walker, Texas Ranger star Chuck Norris, Big Love actress Daveigh Chase, Days of Our Lives actor Patrick Muldoon, and prolific voice actors Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime from Transformers ) and Tom Kane (Yoda from Star Wars: The Clone Wars ).
Also omitted from the on-screen tribute was Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon. His absence was particularly notable given that co-star Anthony Head was included in the segment, while the Emmys telecast also featured an on-screen Buffy reunion between Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz.
