Fatima Al Qadiri has announced 3TWI (عتوي) , a new EP arriving October 9, via Hyperdub . The title translates as “dirty old man,” press materials note; a single, “7ilween”—loose translation: “pretty young things”—is out now. Watch a video directed by the artist Sophia Al-Maria below.
Two of the EP’s four songs feature Bobo Secret and Lama3an; on the other two, Al Qadiri’s Kuwali vocalist Gumar, the namesake of her 2023 EP , guests. Al Qadiri’s last standalone album was Medieval Femme ; since then, the Kuwaiti musician/producer has released several film soundtracks, including one last year for François Ozon’s L’Étranger .
