Final Fantasy XV Soundtrack Gets Vinyl Release

The beloved Final Fantasy 15 soundtrack is finally getting a vinyl release – though a number of songs are missing.

Final Fantasy 15 was released in 2016 and featured music from Yoko Shimomura. The following year, a special collection of piano-led tracks was released on CD. Now ‘Piano Collections: Final Fantasy 15 – Moonlit Melodies’ is getting a vinyl release.

The single LP features ten songs from the Final Fantasy 15 soundtrack and is currently only available to pre-order via the Japanese Square Enix store ahead of a December release date.

“Yoko Shimomura, the main composer of Final Fantasy 15 , has returned to produce this album, carefully selecting songs best suited as piano pieces and supervising the entire production,” reads a press release. “When composing songs, Shimomura is always mindful of the piano melodies which are further refined in these beautiful arrangements.”

Next month, Square Enix are releasing 2D title Final Fantasy Resonance . The turn-based role-playing game is an adaptation of the first story arc from 2015 mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. “Travel with companions bound by fate and call on Visions to aid you in battle to uncover the truth behind a force that threatens to bring everything to ruin,” reads a description of the game.

Meanwhile, the third installment of the Final Fantasy 7 remake series is set to launch in April 2027.
