New Found Glory Founding Guitarist Chad Gilbert Dies at 45

Chad Gilbert, founding guitarist for the punk band New Found Glory, has died. "On the morning of September 20th, Chad Everett Gilbert passed away peacefully in his sleep," the band announced in a statement today. "He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished." Gilbert revealed six months ago he had been diagnosed with brain cancer. He was 45.
