There have long been rumours of the Gallaghers returning to road again in 2027, with reports emerging that they’d be playing shows in Manchester and Knebworth . Off the back the hype surrounding their new documentary Don’t Look Back In Anger about their reunion and the last run of shows, the band then started a teaser campaign with Easter eggs revealing the locations – before confirming that an announcement was coming with a drone show over the Etihad .

Now, that moment has come with news of 38 shows kicking off next May that will be calling at Scotland, England, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the US and Ireland.

“START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!!,” the band shared in a statement. “After a period of reflection ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people,” they continued, once again mocking a damning article that was written about the last tour by journalist Simon Price.

Oasis added: “Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold.”

Aside from the homecoming shows in Manchester, the Live ’27 tour be visiting a completely different set of locations to the 2025 dates. They’ll be opening with five nights at Glasgow’s Celtic Park kicking off on May 21, before a mammoth 11 gigs at The Etihad and a trek across Europe with multiple night stops in Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Rome, and Paris – the latter being the city where the band infamously split in 2009 .

The tour will then conclude back on home turf with the band returning to the site of legendary ’90s gigs at Slane Castle and for four nights at Knebworth. The support act at all shows will once again be Richard Ashcroft, who previously joined them on their Live ’25 UK dates.

After the past controversy surrounding chaotic online queue times and dynamic pricing , Oasis will be adopting the same on-sale model they did for their last run of Wembley shows by inviting fans to register for the chance to buy tickets. Fans must register before Thursday September 17 at 4pm BST / 5pm CEST / 8am PT / 11am ET and can do so here .

Fans who are successful in the ballot will then be sent a unique, non-transferable code to access an allocated on-sale window at a specific time. That on-sale time will take place across Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September in the UK with three on-sale windows on each day.

It has been made clear that this registration process is the only public way to buy tickets for the tour with no other general sale outside of this process. Standard ticket prices will be fixed and range between £71.50 and £266.60, including fees.

It currently doesn’t look like the band will be visiting Asia, Australia or South America like they did on the Live ’25 tour.

Fans attention will now also turn to the chances of the setlist changing , and who might be in the band line-up . It is expected that Andy Bell will return on bass, Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs” on guitar and Joey Waronker on drums.

In a five-star review of the opening night of the Live ’25 tour in Cardiff , NME hailed the show as “a supersonic reunion for a new generation”.

“This is all you ever would have wanted from Oasis in 2025: they look cool, sound fucking amazing, and they want to be here,” the review read. “The truth is Liam’s voice hasn’t sounded this good in 20-odd years – three-dimensional between the punky bile of that skyward “ TAKE ME THERE ” in ‘Slide Away’ and the heartfelt call for brotherhood in ‘Stand By Me’. Noel’s lead moments spotlight him as the songwriter’s songwriter and still The Chief – with ‘Little By Little’ and ‘Half The World Away’ having the same impact without the R’N’R sledgehammer as the other jukebox bangers.”

Last week saw the release of their acclaimed new documentary film Don’t Look Back In Anger in cinemas before it arrives on Disney+.

In a four-and-a-half star review , NME concluded: “Ultimately, though, Don’t Look Back In Anger is masterfully done, with moments of irreverence and intense passion burning throughout. The impact of the band has never been clearer than over these two hours – as Liam puts it in the final moments, “Oasis saves” – as it reclaims the narrative around them and relives one of the most momentous, miraculous tours of modern times. By the end, you’ll be itching to do it all over again – and maybe, just maybe, we might .”

NME caught up with creator and writer Steven Knight about the “healing ” of reuniting the once-warring Gallagher brothers, as well as directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern to talk about what went into the film as well as paying tribute to late Stone Roses icon Mani and celebrating the “genius” of Bonehead.
