Rod Stewart has announced a UK and European farewell tour, ‘The Final Encore’, for 2027. Find all the details below.

The legendary singer-songwriter is due to head out on the road one last time next spring, with the trek kicking off at Dublin’s 3Arena on April 23.

From there, he’ll head to arenas in Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester before taking to the stage at The O2 in London on May 11. Support on the UK and Ireland leg will come from Howard Jones.

Stewart is then set to play numerous live concerts across Europe between late May and late July. These include stops in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Budapest, Munich, Prague and Kraków.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST this Friday (October 2) – you’ll be able to buy yours here . A ‘Fanclub’ pre-sale will go live at the same time tomorrow (Tuesday September 29), followed by local pre-sales.

“My dear friends, the time has come to say farewell to life on the road,” Stewart said about the forthcoming dates in a statement. “After more than six decades, ‘The Final Encore’ will most definitely be my last.”

He continued: “I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return.

“So, may I take this opportunity to thank you for making this extraordinary life possible. I hope you’ll join me so I can thank you the best way I know how… with the music and one hell of a show. See you there.”

Over the summer, Stewart cancelled some of the dates on his ‘One Last Time’ North American tour after undergoing a routine coronary stent procedure . He’d previously pulled out of a show at the last minute due to an “unforeseen but minor medical procedure” .

The singer was forced to pause a gig in Utah to use an oxygen tank after nearly fainting on stage earlier on the tour. “Would you mind if I sat down for this one?” he playfully asked the crowd.

This followed him  facing backlash when he was spotted cheering for Scotland at a World Cup game , following the cancellation of a concert in California due to health reasons just hours earlier.

Stewart’s ‘One Last Time’ tour included his Legends Slot on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2025 . This spring, the star said he’d “probably” wrap up live touring for good with a UK run in 2027 .

In 2024,  Stewart said he was done with “large-scale world tours” , saying his 2025 run of arena shows would be his last. However, he did add at the time that he had “no desire to retire”.
