Roger and Harry Waters Announce ‘Legacy – A Pink Floyd Show’ North American Tour in 2027

Roger Waters and his son Harry have announced details of ‘Legacy – A Pink Floyd Show’, a new touring production celebrating the “golden era” of Pink Floyd .

The production has been created under Roger’s direction, with Harry serving as musical director and leading a 10-piece band on B3 organ, piano and vocals. Roger himself is not scheduled to perform in the shows.

The extensive tour will begin in Columbus, Georgia on February 15, 2027, and will ultimately visit more than 100 cities across North America and Europe. The first North American dates have now been announced, while European shows will follow at a later date.

‘Legacy’ will focus on Pink Floyd’s 1971-1979 period, with songs drawn from ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, ‘Animals’ and ‘The Wall’. The concerts will run for more than two hours and aim to reproduce the original recordings as closely as possible.

“We are going to authentically recreate the albums as close to note-for-note as we possibly can,” Harry said.

The stage production has been developed by Roger’s team and will incorporate imagery inspired by Pink Floyd’s original visual work, displayed across high-definition LED screens.

“These songs have meant so much to so many people for so many years, and I’m excited for audiences to come together and experience them live again,” Roger said. “Harry has assembled a terrific band, and I can’t wait for fans around the world to see the special show we’ve created together.”

Harry added: “I fell in love with the music immediately. It really had an impact on me, irrespective of any bias because it was Dad’s music. I still love it deeply to this day.

“Collaborating with Dad on this new production is such an honor, and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to bring this music to fans old and new, around the world.”

The announcement follows Roger launching a worldwide search earlier this year for a singer capable of recreating the vocals he performed with Pink Floyd .

At the time, he said Harry’s band had “one missing link: somebody who can sing everything that I could sing 50 years ago”. Harry ultimately listened to more than 3,000 submissions, with Canadian-born, Nashville-based vocalist Clifton David Broadbridge landing the role after an in-person audition.

Harry has a long history with his father’s music. His childhood voice appeared on Pink Floyd’s ‘Goodbye Blue Sky’, and he later spent more than 15 years touring with Roger, including on ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ and ‘The Wall’ tours and at Desert Trip in 2016.

However, Harry revealed in 2023 that his father had fired him from his touring band . “I was fired, it was pretty miserable,” he said at the time, adding that Roger had wanted “a change of blood, something new, something fresh”.

Harry later played with Pink Floyd tribute act Brit Floyd before the father and son began working together on ‘Legacy’.

The tour comes after Pink Floyd marked their 1971-1979 period with the new ‘8-Tracks’ compilation .

Last year, David Gilmour said there was “no possible way” he would work with Waters again, describing their relationship as having become “completely impossible”.
