Rosie O'Donnell Returns to Broadway in "The Rocky Horror Show"

Rosie O’Donnell has announced that she’ll be joining the cast of Broadway’s ongoing production of The Rocky Horror Show for a limited two-week run.

O’Donnell will be performing the role of The Narrator, taking over for current Narrator Rachel Dratch from October 6th-18th. Her turn in Rocky Horror will mark O’Donnell’s fourth overall appearance on Broadway and her first in 20 years, having previously performed in productions of Fiddler on the Roof (2006), Seussical! (2001), and Grease (1994). She’s been active over the years Off-Broadway, most recently headlining a one-woman show Common Knowledge earlier this year.

The Rocky Horror Show is running at Studio 54 in New York, with tickets on sale through February 28, 2027. The cast currently features Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears as Dr. Frank-N-Furter — the role popularized by the late Tim Curry in the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show — along with Lorna Courtney, Kevin McHale, Amber Gray, George Salazar, Valentina, and more.
