Trentemøller Drops New Single "Swerve" Featuring Sakura

Last month, Danish producer Trentemøller announced his new self-titled album with the lead single " Terrified ," featuring Mew’s Jonas Bjerre. Today, we get another glimpse at the forthcoming album via the single "Swerve," which features Hong Kong-born, Vienna-based singer Sakura.

The new single is a grungy metallic spell. Guitars sharply gnaw around Sakura's spidery vocal wisps. “‘Swerve’ was the first song I wrote for the record,” Trentemøller shared. “I had the vocal melody in my head pretty quickly, and the whole thing, chords and guitar riff, came to me fast. I wanted it to be brutal and beautiful at the same time, to almost shock the listener when the guitars and everything kick in during the first bars. Sakura's vocal fits so well it almost becomes an instrument in itself.”
